But hey we&#8217;re still in twenty twelve (just about) and Tuesday offers you the chance to catch TCODK live in Hoodtown a stones throw from your bus stop home. Combining Bass rumbles, black acid six strings (as apposed to purple acid, which is very different) and Funeral keys, expect an ear drum throbbing, head exploding live experience.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>TRICOLOUR SUN<\/strong><br \/>\nCatch singer <strong>TRICOLOUR SUN <\/strong>perform with (or should that be &#8216;prominently featuring&#8217;?) guitarist <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/156136581199163\/#!\/johnmauricesampson\">JOHN SAMPSON<\/a><\/strong> from The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/swimmingband?fref=ts\">SWIMMING BAND<\/a><\/strong>. Their\/ his performance at <strong>Branch Out Festival <\/strong>shook the downstairs grounds of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/stealthnottingham?fref=ts\">Stealth <\/a><\/strong> to it&#8217;s foundations, yes it&#8217;s a cliche but Stealth&#8217;s owners genuinely had to get the the surveyors in the next day, possibly. One of Nottingham&#8217;s newest and most innovative musical projects baring in mind this gig is on the second floor finges crossed things don&#8217;t get too out of hand. Formed in 2011 they have already won <strong>McFly\u2019s Battle Of The Bands <\/strong>and played to a sold-out <strong>Manchester Apollo<\/strong>. Two weeks ago, the band released their second single <em>We Could Have Had It All<\/em>, which received a hugely positive response from their fans. The combination of electronics, full live band and the \u2018Hype style&#8221; vocals of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ella.j.reeves?fref=ts\">Ella Reeves<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alexxyoung?fref=ts\">Alex Motormouth<\/a> <\/strong>create a unique and intense sound few can rival. <em>Red Light Means Go<\/em>, an incredible track fuelled with extra lashings of protons, is featured in the <strong>latest Nusic New Music Podcast<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nusic.org.uk\/wordpress\/nusic-new-music-podcast-39-95\/\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheAfterdarkMovement?fref=ts\">THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a> <\/strong><br \/>\nWinners of <strong>The Future Sound of Nottingham <\/strong>2012 Comp and going on to play <strong>Wireless<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/splendourfestivalUK?fref=ts\">Splendour Festival<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheAfterdarkMovement?fref=ts\">THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong> are certainly making a name for themselves. Their debut EP released this year is filled with lyrical truth, punchy guitars and thumping bass lines. A combination of urban, hip-hop and funk, this hip-tastic combo have created a sound that is trully unique. The Nottingham Hip-hop veterans have been creating music since &#8217;97, founding a musical movement they have teamed with\/ joined with\/ collaborated (you choose!) with the likes of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/liambaileymusic?fref=ts\">Liam Bailey<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chrismcdonalduk?fref=ts\">Chris McDonald<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/jah.digga?fref=ts\">Jah Digga<\/a><\/strong> and many more.
