\nTHE CULT OF DOM KELLER<\/a><\/strong>
\nIf their past three self-released EPs are anything to go by, you\u2019re in for a real treat when their album comes out in January. 2013 also contrains the small matter of a 10 date US Tour inc a show at Austin Psych Fest 2013 <\/strong> in Texas!! But hey we’re still in twenty twelve (just about) and Tuesday offers you the chance to catch TCODK live in Hoodtown a stones throw from your bus stop home. Combining Bass rumbles, black acid six strings (as apposed to purple acid, which is very different) and Funeral keys, expect an ear drum throbbing, head exploding live experience.

\nTRICOLOUR SUN<\/strong>
\nCatch singer TRICOLOUR SUN <\/strong>perform with (or should that be ‘prominently featuring’?) guitarist JOHN SAMPSON<\/a><\/strong> from The SWIMMING BAND<\/a><\/strong>. Their\/ his performance at Branch Out Festival <\/strong>shook the downstairs grounds of Stealth <\/a><\/strong> to it’s foundations, yes it’s a cliche but Stealth’s owners genuinely had to get the the surveyors in the next day, possibly. One of Nottingham’s newest and most innovative musical projects baring in mind this gig is on the second floor finges crossed things don’t get too out of hand. Anyone at that legendary Late of the Pier gig back in Nov 2008 will understand.

\nTHE HUSH<\/a><\/strong>
\nBig things are certainly on the horizon for THE HUSH<\/a><\/strong>. Formed in 2011 they have already won McFly\u2019s Battle Of The Bands <\/strong>and played to a sold-out Manchester Apollo<\/strong>. Two weeks ago, the band released their second single We Could Have Had It All<\/em>, which received a hugely positive response from their fans. With Slick hooks, upbeat guitars and contagious choruses and a catalogue of pop-punk bangers to get you dancing, THE HUSH<\/a><\/strong> are Nottingham\u2019s pop-punk pioneers for 2012.

\nJUST JAMES<\/a><\/strong>
\nEasily one of Nottingham\u2019s most energetic bands, JUST JAMES<\/a><\/strong> are a mash up of different genres pinned together with strong Drum N Bass, Hip Hop, UK Dubstep and Punk, quite a ‘pinning’ I’m sure you’ll agree. The combination of electronics, full live band and the \u2018Hype style” vocals of Ella Reeves<\/a> <\/strong>and Alex Motormouth<\/a> <\/strong>create a unique and intense sound few can rival. Red Light Means Go<\/em>, an incredible track fuelled with extra lashings of protons, is featured in the latest Nusic New Music Podcast<\/strong> HERE<\/a><\/strong>.

\nTHE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a> <\/strong>
\nWinners of The Future Sound of Nottingham <\/strong>2012 Comp and going on to play Wireless<\/strong> and Splendour Festival<\/a><\/strong>, THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT<\/a><\/strong> are certainly making a name for themselves. Their debut EP released this year is filled with lyrical truth, punchy guitars and thumping bass lines. A combination of urban, hip-hop and funk, this hip-tastic combo have created a sound that is trully unique. Be sure to check out their Future Session<\/strong> HERE<\/a><\/strong>.

\n1st BLOOD<\/a><\/strong>
\nAs if this line-up could get any bigger! 1st BLOOD<\/a><\/strong> have been representing Notts longer than most, infusing hip hop, soul, a sprinkle of funk and jazz to create sounds that are powerful, fresh and authentic. The Nottingham Hip-hop veterans have been creating music since ’97, founding a musical movement they have teamed with\/ joined with\/ collaborated (you choose!) with the likes of Liam Bailey<\/a><\/strong>, Chris McDonald<\/a><\/strong>, Jah Digga<\/a><\/strong> and many more. An experience not to be missed, 1st BLOOD<\/a><\/strong> are the real deal, and have been since you and I were little brats in primary school.

\nAlso watch out for a performance from Great Scott plus special guests JAMBO JAM & AMIT.
