Ello Comrades!
Another mish mash of Nottingham gigs this week keeping it, as always, all genres.
First up we have WILL JEFFERY AND THE MONTAGUE GRIZZLY QUARTET playing at the Nottingham Riviera on Wednesday (10th).
With a xylophone, double bass, trumpet, melodica and guitar this promises to be a diverse performance along with clever, storytelling lyrics from Will Jeffery. You’ll feel like you’re sat round a camp fire soaking in the many tales Will has to tell, accept your actually sat on a beach, in land-locked Nottingham.

Our second gig of the week is at The Maze on Wednesday 10th.
Kicking off the night are The Red Light Proposal but they’re from Grantham which isn’t in Nottinghamshire (quite), so we’ll move on…
The next act of the night is FSN finalist KURT MARTINEZ. Hopefully he’ll be sporting his Top Gun jumpsuit but if not, he will still provide you entertainment in the form of synthy pop music. His infectious personality and musical charisma will have you singing his catchy songs all the way home.
THE BYSTANDERS are next on the bill and even though these boys ain’t been in the game long, they’ve already managed to establish their own dark, indie sound. They’ve been a REWIND act on our podcast, we are really looking forward to seeing these boys live.
CADENCE NOIR are headlining this Notts in a Nutshell event. These guys know how to mix blues with rock and roll and their on-stage banter and enthusiasm makes for an all-round lovely band.

And finally NEON JUNG will be supporting THE HIDDEN ORCHESTRA at Rock City on Friday (12th).
This Nottingham guy will get you dancing and grooving with his bleeps and synths, particularly on his track ‘Can’t Leave It Alone’. Some techno, some house, a little bit of hip hop and you have one guy who knows how to get the room partying.
A great honour for a Notts musician to be supporting such a respected act on the Great County’s most famous stage.
