Hello comrades!

Check out our recommendations of three Nottingham gigs you should check out this week!

First up we have Notts In A Nutshell with two acts from Nottingham taking to the stage on Tuesday (17th) at The Maze.

THE RUTHERFORDS will kick things off with their energetic Pop Punk and feel good vibes guaranteed to have you all up dancing.

Next KURT MARTINEZ has a really lively Electro sound accompanied by Indie guitars to mix things up. His catchy synths and excellent song writing skills will keep you all bopping on the dancefloor.

Doors: 7.30pm
Tickets: £3

On Thursday (19th) Café Boheme brings you a night packed full of Notts musicians at Hotel Deux.

SATNAMS TASH will provide some Reggae beats and Pop Punk melodies that’ll get you all skanking along.

FLAT SOUFLEE have a quirky, Experimental sound that really works. Their female vocalist chants, sings and speaks lyrics quickly alongside a scratchy guitar. It’s cute and will catch your attention.

NEMO SHAW will bring endearing Experimental Acoustic with beautiful male vocals and surprisingly simple acoustic guitar creating a very gentle and mellow whirlwind of music.

ALEXA HAWKSWORTH is quite simply a stunner of a singer/songwriter. Playing with a soft Folk style. I expect everyone in the room to be singing along and swaying in time.

There will be comedy from TERRY DUNLOP who will have you in stitches.

And finishing off this whopper of a line-up DAMP MAGIC will play some unusual instrumental guitar melodies which sound a little like a computer game being played in space.

Doors: 8.30pm
Tickets: FREE!

And finally on Sunday (22nd) Farmyard brings you THE MONEY at The Golden Fleece.

One of Nottingham’s most established bands, THE MONEY produce Indie anthems that will get stuck in your head for days. Make sure you catch these guys before they become famous!

CHRIS REEVE is on support duty supplying many a Folk tune with plenty of rhythm and beat.

Doors: 7pm
Tickets: FREE!
