Another seven days have passed and we have even more incredible gigs for ya in the Nottingham music scene. This week sees a musical house party, Grime clashes and some soulful soundscapes.

GIG ONE

This Wednesday beholds something a little bit different. Prisma presents a delightful Acoustic evening at their brand new flat featuring some top live acoustic music, cheap drinks and apparently cookies?! Bringing the house party-esque vibes in a crowded flat enveloped with the aroma of freshly baked cookies, the familiar faces of MOLLY & JACK will take the stage. If you like your harmonies and catchy melodies this musical duo are the perfect flavour to add to your evening. Also performing is local lad JOSH WHEATLEY who’ll be bringing his beautiful chilled-out folk vibes. From his full band headline gig at The Bodega a few months ago Josh will be playing a more intimate, stripped down show in the good ole Prisma’s living room.

Josh Savage and O Thiasos will also be performing on the night.

Price: Free
Doors: 8pm

GIG TWO

The Maze is being taken over by WAW this Saturday for one of their biggest Grime clashes yet! Don’t go all 8 Mile on us, as there will be battles from some of the best Grime MCs from Nottingham and around the UK. Despite our journalistic endeavours we couldn’t find out too much about the acts on this line-up, however it’s set to be massive! Hosted by local Hip Hop legend YOUTHORACLE, expect a night of hard hitting lyrics, breakbeats and raw talent.

Price: 3 for £15 ADV / £10 OTD
Doors: 1pm

GIG THREE

Sounddhism returns home to raise the roof at The Bodega this Saturday with another killer line-up of local and international acts. Kickstarting the evening are the dynamically beautiful SHELTER POINT with some soulful ambience. Described by Sounddhism’s founder Mr Pickering as ‘the moodier end of the soul spectrum’ get ready for some sensuous soundscapes and delicate vocals. Next up is local born Hip Hop experimenter KJ PALMER who openly welcomes us all into his mind body and soul. We’re bloody loving his latest tune (which can be heard on the NMP HERE), and if the rest of his new material is anything like it, you’ve got quite a performance to look forward to!

Price: £5
Doors: 10pm

P.S LACEY are playing the Arena this Saturday, supporting James Blunt. This would of been a Top Three gig had it not been for the fact that tickets are like forty quid. However, it’s sure to be both an incredible experience, for the band, and for anyone who has a ticket. You’re beautiful Nottingham, you really are.
