Choons aplenty this week to distract you from the fact its less than 75 days till xmas. SAY WHAT? x

FRIDAY

Prepare your ear-bits for a mish-mash of awesomeness. Cos this Friday four ace Notts bands are preparing their tunes for a non-stop night of guitar goodness at Rough Trade w/ Scruff of the Neck. First up THE CHASE – bringing Rock and Roll packed with anthemic melodies that ya will *CLICHE ALERT* defo be singing in the shower for a good few days. Then there’s KYNCH – really angry Rock that will get out all that angst you’ve been holding deep within your soul. DON’T FORGET RUPERT are up next with their super duper fruper (what?) catchy Guitar-Pop. Pssssst – keep an eye out for their Future Session over the next few weeks. Oh, and then there’s BROODERS rounding it all off – with a bunch of fuzzed up guitars and vocal-led eardrum assault. Tasttyyyyyy.

As we write this its well miserable outside. Like, makes ya re-evaluate your life and never wanna turn the heating off kinda miserable. BUT – luckily for our minds, souls and eardrums, one of Notts’ finest sunshine vibe bringers are at The Bodega this Saturday. SILVER WILSON – the kings of the catchy Pop melody are playing a headliner post releasing their monster-banger ‘Close Enough’, and its sure to be a vibey vibe vibeeeeeee. Get yet (probs quite wet) dancing shoes on and embrace Saturday night fever (okay puns stop now).

Dantevilles from Manchester and Badminton from Leeds are also playing.

THE CASSEDIES are up first on the Notts tip – with their v well done Indie. Just – everything ya want from an Indie band – from sick riffs, unique vocals, and just the right side of cocky swag. And then there’s GEORGE GRETTON headlining – beautifully unique, atmospheric, Indie / Ambient / Electronic goodness which as ya can tell I’m really struggling to describe but jeeezz is it special. Check it out for your souls own good.
