We can confirm some really exciting breaking news re Nottingham gents SWIMMING. Late of the Pier’s Sam Potter is joining the band with long time SWIMMING amigo Andy Wright focusing on his WE SHOW UP ON RADAR project (album expected soon). As if that was not enough SWIMMING are also off on a European Tour with The Megaphonic Thrift, which is exciting not just ’cause they are a great band but the TMT bassist is unbelieveably hot. And girls if you like the bearded man you’re going to live TMT’s front man.

Here are the (distinctly less pervy) thoughts of SWIMMING themselves:

“Ola dear Swimming pals and palettes,

In January 2012 we took a stroll in the sun and reformed in a new light…

First to emerge was Sam Potter (of Late of The Pier) who has joined us on keyboard and samplers and drew this timely image for us all.

He is filling the gap left by our dearly beloved Andy Wright, who is finishing his debut WeShowUpOnRadar album. You can follow him here.. https://twitter.com/WeShowUpOnRadar

Sam’s first gig with us will be in Cologne as part of our European tour with The Megaphonic Thrift….

The band are also inviting fans to contribute to their tour zine, as they are much more eloquent than us lets pass back over to them:

We’re making a zine for the tour in March and we would like your contributions.
It can be an image, story, quiz, essay, dream sequence, lucky charm, whatever your mind-cogs conjure up. Theme is loosely based on our new album, Ecstatics International.
It’s going to be black and white A5 size. No advertising.
Post your enchanted ideas here or send to weareswimming@gmail.com by Wednesday 22nd February. All thoughts will be much appreciated but there is limited space so only a couple will make this edition. Look forward to seeing you…
