The latest good vibes/ success headlines from the Nottingham music scene (that we know of), please drop us a line if we’ve missed anything significant (our definition of significant is something of national relevance) – nusic@leftlion.co.uk.

Guess what? It’s been ANOTHER incredible couple of weeks for the Notts music scene.

JULY – THE MONTH OF LOVE

BABY GODZILLA had a near full page in Kerrang Magazine, getting a 5K review and receiving this adoration – “The underground’s most dangerous band completely flatten Camden”!

Zane Lowe showing some love for LIAM BAILEY calling him ‘A great, great singer’ on Radio One. Right you are, Zane. Right you are.

AMBER had their first national airplay on Radio 1 via BBC Introducing ! Massive congrats to them.

JOEL BAKER has been added to the XFM playlist for the first time!

Radio One’s longest serving DJ Annie Nightingale declared her love of both INDIANA and ADY SULIEMAN!

HARLEIGHBLU secured her first national DAYTIME radio play, courtesy of Trevor Nelson which in itself is a huge moment for any soul artist!

JAKE BUGGs album returned to the Top 5 of the UK Album Charts nine months after its release.

Nottingham artists had a great Glasto with INDIANA being declared the star of the Introducing Stage by Radio One execs.

Our guest appearance act for The Future Sound of Nottingham was the remarkable SAINT RAYMOND. A little dickie bird told us that he was propositioned to write songs with Example too, yes the multi-million selling Arena filling Example!

A load of local acts have been playing Trent Bridge (big up TB HQ!) for some thing called The Ashes. This is massive platform for them, offering them exposure to the 18000 peeps attending each day. The size of the audience and the fact many are from outside Notts makes this a significant event we think.
