Please excuse the brief nature of this week’s Top Three – I am recovering from Splendour and words are very difficult right now.

GIG ONE

Make Monday night the new Friday & head on down to the Brewdog for WAITT Unsigned’s debut Acoustic Night.

SIAN ALEXANDRA
A girl you’ll recognise from OPIE DEINO, the lovely SIAN ALEXANDRA is going solo. This fiery songstress will have the audience hanging off every word with her gorgeous vocals and honest narrative. Catch her Future Session HERE.

THE GORGEOUS CHANS
They’re reigning champs of FSN, they smashed the Splendour Main Stage & THE GORGEOUS CHANS are still going strong. Expect lots of dancing, clapping and probably around 64 members. See the review of their set at Splendour yesterday HERE.

JOSH WHEATLEY
Spread the Love extraordinaire JOSH WHEATLEY is next on the bill. Mellow vocals, rich melodies and a certain sweetness, you can probably find Josh busking around the city centre too. Lovely stuff.

ANWYN WILLIAMS
Topping off the lineup is the ever lovely ANWYN WILLIAMS. Her elegant songwriting is topped off by sugary sweet vocals that are completely enchanting live. Prepare to be captivated.

With all profits going to two amazing causes and over 40 incredible local acts, this is a night you really don’t want to miss. And why would you? Taking place this Saturday & only £5, you really are going to struggle to find an excuse not to be there.

So who can you expect to see? With three stages jam-packed with local artists, Waterfront have gone above and beyond this year. Chuck into the mix GREAT BRITISH WEATHER’s Indie Funk, Urban heroes THE AFTERDARK MOVEMENT and the Rock ‘n’ Roll of THE SWIINES and you have something pretty bloody special.

More detail of the event can be found in our lovingly crafted article HERE.

DISCLAIMER: In traditional Nusic transparency we like to be transparent about any nights we have strong connections too, the first event is organised by a former Nusic intern whilst our LeftLion Dad is heavily involved in the Waterfront Festival. Regardless of these connections, we believe both events to have strong, diverse lineups making them worthy of inclusion in the Top Three.

Yours in Love of New Music,
