GIG ONESTOP PRESS 17:30 250613 – INDIANA has been added to the line of this gig, doing a Glasto warm-up!

If it’s atmospheric Electro Funk you’re after then do we have a treat for you. Get yourself down to The Rescue Rooms this Tuesday to celebrate the launch of ONEGIRLONEBOY’s EP with support from GREAT BRITISH WEATHER & JAMIE MOON. Delicious.

JAMIE MOON
Singer-songwriter JAMIE MOON makes music that gets under your skin. With influences ranging from Nirvana to Damien Rice, his superbly crafted Acoustic music is brimming with heartfelt intensity that is completely compelling live. Sure to provide a stunning start to the evening.

GREAT BRITISH WEATHER
Bringing the Funk to this event we have GREAT BRITISH WEATHER. They wowed the crowd at this year’s Dot to Dot, their syncopated, funk-driven beats and incredible guitar lines filling the floor and turning Stealth into a futuristic disco. My money’s on them doing it again at this event.

ONEGIRLONEBOY
Since triumphing at last year’s Notts Factor competition, ONEGIRLONEBOY have been creating a pretty decent buzz for themselves. Another act who wowed at Dot to Dot, their ambient Dark Electro Rock is blissfully intense which is mirrored in their utterly captivating performances. You can see their Future Session HERE and why not grab a cheeky CD at the event – you won’t regret it.

GIG TWO

We’re spoiling you this week with yet another EP launch this Thursday at The Malt Cross. JOSH KEMP will be unveiling his brand spanking new EP and with support from HEAVYHEADS and BETH FRISBY, this a must in your Notts music calendar.

BETH FRISBY
A familiar face having played violin for THE INVISIBLE ORCHESTRA and provided backing vocals for HARLEIGHBLU, BETH FRISBY is going front and centre this Thursday. With silky sweet vocals and melodic guitar, her sugar coated Acoustic Pop is just the tonic to kick off the night’s proceedings.

HEAVYHEADS
Just ahead of their own demo release, two-piece HEAVYHEADS are next on the bill. Sit back, relax and let their heady mixture of lush harmonies, sweeping melodies and dreamy vocals send you into a state of Acoustic bliss. HEAVYHEADS make music that’s pretty darn lovely.

JOSH KEMP
Having played an insane 212 gigs last year, JOSH KEMP is still going strong and releasing his brand new ep ‘Sofa Surfin’’. Armed with just a guitar and a loop pedal, Josh creates a beautifully full sound, rich in texture and topped off with soaring vocals and unforgettable melodies. Come help celebrate one of Nottingham’s hardest working musicians at this event!

Although the event is free, there will be donation buckets for for the QMC Children’s Cancer ward, so please bring a few extra pennies and help this amazing cause.
