After an awesome twenty twelve all of us here at Nusic wish you a very Merry Christmas! Here’s three cracking gigs to check out over the Xmas / New Years period.

GIG ONE
THE MAZE & VON SPOOK PROMOTIONS PRESENTS a HUGE New Years Eve SCI-FI TWIST party! No we’re not sure what that means either but it sounds fun and the line-up is siiccckkkk.

The Main Room Line Up:

DICK VENOM & THE TERRORTONES
Lets just say, its going to get very hot and sweaty with DICK VENOM & THE TERRORTONES. Described by The Maze itself as the ‘King of Chaos’, DICK VENOM and his band THE TERRORTONES will give you a crushing (and most probably filthy) insight into his rock n roll dream (perhaps that should that be fantasy?). This is not for the light hearted or prudish; expect high energy coupled with trash metal and dirty punk.

ARCADE WINTER
Featuring former members of EVERY NEW DEAD GHOST, ARCANE WINTER are a band influenced by the likes of Chrome and Hawkwind. If you like Goth with a Post-Punk twist, then check out their ‘organic’ sound.

Describing their sound as ‘Dirty Electro Latin with brass laden orchestral grooves’, there is no way you could forget ROYAL GALA and their incredible sound. Playing a near orchestral range of instruments (from the guitar through to the sax and trombone) their unique sounds will keep you dancing on your toes into the small hours of the night, making for an unforgettable time. A great band to see in the New Year, the ultimate band to see in the New Year!

TRAY ELECTRIC
Electronic producer TRAY ELECTRIC is well known for his dancefloor bangers. If prominent live performances at the FUTURE SOUND OF NOTTINGHAM and with Mike Skinner’s The D.O.T at The Bodega are anything to go by, TRAY ELECTRIC’s carefully crafted dances tunes will have you on a high perfect for the euphoria demanded by NYE.

GREY HAIRS
Also performing are GREY HAIRS , a band who’ve got their top new years resolution in early by already planning a 7 inch vinyl release in January. Known for their epic loudness, distinctive hard-core grunge sounds and general fuck you attitude, GREY HAIRS will help your ears see (yes we know we mixed our senses) in the New Year most disgracefully.

HER MAJESTY’S SERVICE
Also on the bill are HER MAJESTY’S SERVICE Formed in April 2012 from the ashes of THE TURF, HER MAJESTY’S SERVICE are pushing the boat out to create trully explosive raw punk sounds.
