Another week, and yet another amazing set of gigs for the Nottingham music scene. This week sees the return of one of our favourite singer-songwriters, an EP launch and a rather notorious alternative festival!

This Tuesday, the amazing talent that is GEORGIE ROSE will be headlining The Glee Club.

For those unfamiliar, Georgie is an incredible Singer-Songwriter who takes influence from some legendary songwriters such as Fleetwood Mac and Elvis Presley. We still have her solo performance on the Courtyard stage of last year’s Splendour festival fresh in memory, but on Tuesday Georgie will be showing a whole new side to her sound, with a full four piece band which we’re sure will give one heck of a kick to her already punchy songs!

Support on the night comes from Blues man of the moment RYAN THOMAS. His latest EP ‘Worries and Troubles’ SMASHED the iTunes charts, claiming the No.1 spot on the Blues chart. So, make sure to get on down, and you’ll get to see some of these highly acclaimed Bluesy numbers in action!

This Wednesday, The Bodega will play host to the soulful melodies and blissful chord progressions of OPIE DEINO.

The Multi-talented Singer-Songwriter will be celebrating the launch of her emotive and captivating ‘St Jude’ EP with what promises to be an unforgettable performance. Opie has a knack for making huge anthems, as well as some beautiful soft songs as well; and we cannot wait to see these new tracks in a live environment!

Support on the night will come from ROB GREEN, the soulful singer songwriter with some of the catchiest choruses you’ll ever hear. With some stellar songwriting, and a voice that could read the Yellow Pages and still captivate, we’re sure he’ll put on one hell of a performance!

Also playing on the night will be Molly & Jack from Lincoln.

Tickets: £4

And on Sunday of course, we have the infamous return of Hit The Deck Festival. As always you can expect a feast of the best Alternative music, and plenty of Nottingham acts too!

Now in its fourth year, we are expecting more madness and moshing than ever. Draped across Rock City, Rescue Rooms, Stealth and The Forum; Hit The Deck is fast becoming one of the premier indoor festival events in the UK. The carnage starts at 12pm sharp and goes on through till 11.

Expect to be fist pumping to the sounds of A PLASTIC ROSE, bringing Rock ‘n’ Roll to the modern audience; and ADELPHIA who have some incredibly unique vocals. BABY GODZILLA, the Nottingham boys who are fresh off the Kerrang tour, and have just been featured in FHM, will be taking to the stage to give possibly the most mental performance of the day. There will also be the pop-rock flavours of Kerrang favourites LACEY.

But its not all about the heavy Rock and Alternative. The Rescue Rooms bar will host the Acoustic stage this year, so expect to hear the melodic stylings of ADAM ZAREBA, That familiar fella RYAN THOMAS, the folksy flavours of SAM JONES and the heartfelt vocals of ALEX HEL while you enjoy your pint!.

Doors: 12PM
Tickets: £30
