GIG ONE

For a night of indie-party-pop-rock, get yourself down to Rock City’s basement on 24th July and indulge yourself in four of the freshest Nottingham acts.

Drawing on Glam and Classic Rock influences, FATHER NEPTUNE’S SEA LIONS are the perfect way to start the festivities. Relative newbies to the Notts music scene, this four piece play loud, fast and louder. First to the stage, get there early to catch their set.

One of the most enthusiastic bands around, GOODNIGHT ASTRONAUT are the next act on the bill. Having smashed it at this year’s Future Sound of Nottingham semi-finals in the Market Square (which was their first live performance EVER!), this quartet are raw talent at its finest, combining epic riffs, effortless vocals and heaps of fun. Look out for their debut EP ‘Where do we go from here’ out now.

First of the TWO headliners preparing to tear up the basement are IN HINDSIGHT. What these guys lack in age they sure as hell make up for in talent, bringing catchy melodies and bags of energy that make them completely infectious. A pop-rock powerhouse, IN HINDSIGHT write tunes that get in your head and refuse to leave. Check out their Future Session with us HERE.

With a catalogue of pop-punk bangers that saw them win McFly’s Battle Of The Bands and play to a sold-out Manchester Apollo earlier this year, THE HUSH co-headline the event. Slick hooks, upbeat guitars and contagious choruses, THE HUSH are pop-punk pioneers of 2012. Look out for their new single coming your way soon!

A night full of fun and guitars and all for £4, what’s not to love?!

GIG TWO

Having supported The View one month ago and showing the people of Notts what they’re really capable of, it’s time for BITTER STRINGS‘ time in the limelight as they bring to you their first headline show at Rescue Rooms Red Room on the 26th. Channelling effortless rock n’ roll grit infused with a thick slice of Northern cockiness, these guys ooze old school charisma and are the cream of the crop of Notts alt-rock bands – watch this space!

Support for the night comes from indie band FIELDS. As appealing to the eyes as they are to the ears, this group have been compared to the greats of nineties Brit-Pop such as Oasis and are a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
