STOP PRESS 12/11/15 1300: The M&J support acts have been confirmed. Joining in the lovefest will be Notts’ SAMUEL J LAWRENCE & JORDAN BETHANY.

It’s a proper good week for the Notts music scene this week. There’s an EP launch at The Lofthouse and TWO headline shows at The Bodega.

GIG ONE

RICHARD JENKINS is releasing his brand spanking new EP ‘Fading Soldier’ over at The Lofthouse. You get a free copy of the EP if you go to the launch too. Taking his soulful voice with a Paolo Nutini-esque rasp, Richard makes his own spin on Acoustic Folk. He writes story-telling lyrics from his life-experiences that you can really relate to.

GEORGE GADD will be bringing along his “Shouty Folk Music with autobiographical lyrics” to the evening. But his own description of his music really doesn’t do him any justice. George actually makes Acoustic sounds infused with Folk that just sounds lovely.

KATE AUBURN has been gigging round Notts loads recently, from Open Mics to support slots. Kate was part of all-girl Acoustic Pop trio HEARTS before parting ways last year, but we hear there may be a comeback gig on the horizon?

SMITH & GROVES from over in Clifton are the final support. They’ve released new music recently and it involves a harmonica and some gorgeous sounding harmonies.

The Lofthouse
Friday 13th November

GIG TWO

The adorable MOLLY & JACK are headlining The Bodega on Friday, if they can’t put a smile on your face then you’re a lost cause. The real life couple moved here from Lincoln last year especially for the Notts music scene and released their debut EP ‘Many a Moon’ in September. They make some exceptionally catchy melodies filled with beautiful harmonies that will make your heart melt.

We’ve been told Nottingham support acts are to be confirmed shortly!

The Bodega
Friday 13th November
Doors: 7pm
Tickets: £5

GIG THREE

BITTER STRINGS will be co-headlining at The Bodega on Saturday. The always immaculately dressed four-piece take classic Rock’n’Roll with catchy Pop melodies and make a slick, refined sound. They’ve grown a stage presence laced with Northern charisma after playing countless shows round Notts in the last few years including opening the Dot to Dot main stage at Rock City. Twice. BITTER STRINGS have just announced they’ll be releasing their new single ‘Hollow’ on Wednesday so if you’re still not convinced have a listen before you head down. They’ll be sharing the co-headline spot with Delamere from Manchester.

DECO are the Notts support of the night. The four piece mash up Alternative Indie with Electronic beats. They make some seriously catchy sounds that will get you dancing/jumping/awkwardly swaying around (delete as appropriate).

Also supporting are Carvell from the South West.

The Bodega
Saturday 14th November

P.S. ADY SULEIMAN is headlining The Bodega on Sunday night but it’s sold out so doesn’t qualify for the T3. For those of you who do have tickets it’s sure to be an amazing gig.

Yours in Love of New Music,
Katie Beard x
